Chicago Chapter Meetings

Chapter Meetings are normally held the fourth Tuesday of selected months. Please check home page for current events and calendar for the monthly dates.

Location: Chapter Meetings are held at Union League Club of Chicago, 65 W. Jackson, Chicago, IL 60604 (www.ulcc.org). The Union League Club is a Private Club that has been in existence for 125 years and is in the heart of the financial district. Chapter meetings will be held in the Crystal Room, 5th Floor. Time: Registration/Cash Bar starts at 5:00PM, dinner at 5:30 PM and program at 6:30 PM.

There are no regularly scheduled chapter meetings in December, June and August. On September 16,2008 the Architecture Conference and Product Show takes the place of the Chapter Meeting. In December there is a holiday party. In 2009 a golf outing is scheduled.

Special events, speakers and events coordinated with other professional organizations may necessitate a change of date, time and location. For current monthly events, check the home page.

Chicago Chapter dues include the dinner/lunch fee for at least 5 regular meetings. Special Meetings may incur a nominal fee. Reservations for all special programs and events are required at least one week in advance. Guests are charged $40. Call the Chapter office at 847-382-1924 or Chicagocsi@aol.com.

Meeting Policy: If you cannot honor your reservation for a Chapter Meeting, please let the Chapter office know by the Friday prior to a Tuesday meeting. Even though meetings are free to members, the Chapter must pay for the meal count given to the restaurant. Therefore no-shows or reservations cancelled after Friday will be billed $40 for the dinner cost.

Chicago Chapter Roundtables

Roundtables are opportunities for Chicago Chapter members to gather with a small group, discuss timely topics and earn learning units toward state requirements and professional accreditation. The format is bring-your-own lunch in a conference room setting, with rsvp’s required. Due to space restrictions, attendance is limited and on a first-come basis. Email notifications are sent when there is not sufficient time to announce topics in the Change Order. These are free to members, with guests accepted as space permits, and and put on a waiting list until members are accommodated

Industry roundtables feature topics beneficial to product representative. (Normally 3rd Tues. of the month.

Professional roundtable are offered on topics geared toward architects, engineers and registered professionals. (Normally 2nd Wed of the month.

If you cannot honor your reservation, please notify the Chicago Chapter office, since there is often a waiting list.

Chicago Chapter Special Events

Throughout the year, CSI hosts or co-sponsors special programs and events of interest to its members and the industry. Varying by year, these events include all-day seminars, special speakers, tours or jointly sponsored programs with other professional associations. These are publicized through the website, monthly publication, and email notifications to members.

Chicago Chapter Social Events

Social have events have included a golf outing, Architecture Boat Cruise, wine tasting party, Holiday Party and Awards Banquet and vary by year.
